Hello Friends!!!
Today has been a great day. Went to church this morning, and started talking about the Sunday School Christmas program.  We will soon be starting practices of the songs and the speaking parts, so things will soon start getting busy.  All this talking of the Christmas Program today has made me think more and more about Christmas, so you guessed it... I HAVE to share one of my favorite Christmas recipes!!!  This recipe is on I got from my dear Mother...my great teacher in cooking, and yes, I still call her for advice when I have a question!! :D
Well, my recipe today will be my Mom's delicious and easy Shortbread cookies that just melt in your mouth!!!
First, a picture of my dear Momma!!!!

Momma's Whipped Shortbreads

2 cups margarine (1 poind), whipped until creamy

Cream in :
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until well whipped.  Drop on ungreased pan, or roll in balls.  Flatten with floured fork.
Decorate with cherries, nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degree F for about 8 - 12 minutes.

As you can see I like cherries and chocolate chips :D

Enjoy, and all the best in your planning of Christmas baking this year!!!

    1. They are really easy, and he would have a great time putting the garnish in the middle of each too - you know - one chocolate chip for this cookie, and two for me, one for this cookie and another two for me - lol :} Enjoy!!!
